Well my tattoo artist charges $100 an hour and it took just about 8 hours to complete. Beyond that I also had it drawn up by a separate artist (drew my other animal tattoo as well) which cost around $80 or so.

They're actually a local band in my are, if you search them on Myspace you should find them. And yeah, tattoos can be expensive. The one down my side cost about $800 just for the tattooing itself.

Hmm, it might have come up because I have a band called Call Her Alaska listed in my interests. But either way, nice to meet a new person!

Ooh, sounds like a cool tattoo! I plan on getting some more soon, just have to wait for the money. ;)

Thank you for the comment, though I must confess I don't know where you got that I was Alaskan. I do love Alaska, but alas I have never even been there.

Tattoos are definitely fun, it's too bad you are unable to get one yet. Maybe sometime in the future?
